A long-time cooperation of ESTIKO and Kalle Rõõmus Architects Bureau, which began with designing the office building of Emajõe Ärikeskus in the centre of Tartu in the middle of the 90s, came to finish with opening of the Tasku fashion and leisure centre in August 2008.
Tasku fashion and leisure centre is a modern building both in its content and form. Together with the office building of Emajõe Ärikeskus (that was quickly named Plasku (flask) by the townspeople due to its external resemblance), Tartu Bus Station, Dorpat Hotel and Restaurant, Dorpat SPA and Dorpat Convention Centre, Tasku fashion and leisure centre form a synergious complex of buildings and services in the centre of Tartu.
In the first and second floors of Tasku, there are stores, cafeterias and a restaurant. On the fourth floor of Tasku fashion and leisure centre, there is a cinema centre Cinamon with five cinemas, medical centre Medicum, and Dorpat Convention Centre.
On the fifth and sixth floors, there is a complex of offices of Tasku where we have created good opportunities for functional and comfortable offices.
Tasku center has 4 car park floors for 500 parking lots. First-hour parking is free, every next hour costs 10 kroons. It is possible to pay in cash at every parking floor and pay by credit card at the second and zero floor ATMs.
Tasku fashion and leisure centre has been awarded by certificates of honour of Tartu City Government „Event of year 2008“ and „The best building 2008“.
