Tartu Kalev/Estiko won against Tamsalu in the decisive game of the first league quarter-finals held yesterday and insured a place in the semi-final. 
By the half-time, Estiko was seven points ahead of Tamsalu Los Toros/Karud and further increased its lead during the second half, ending the game with 84:69. Estiko won thanks to its 35:17 dominance in rebounding.

The quarter-final series that ended in three games proved to be surprisingly intense. Estiko won 88:65 against Tamsalu in the first match, yet, was unexpectedly defeated with 64:78 in the second game played on their home court.

Marten Järvik scored 21 points in yesterday’s game as Estiko’s best player. Artur Liiv added 18 and Mihkel Allorg 17 points. The former champions league player Silver Leppik provided 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Tamsalu’s best was Tõnis Peil with an equal score of 21.

In the semi-final, Estiko will meet with Eesti Maaülikool/Limitex autoklaasid. The first game will be held on 20 April; the venue is currently unknown. The game will be broadcasted by Delfi.

In the second semi-final, Betoonimeister/Tskk/SK Nord will meet their match from the Paide Viking Window – G4S Youth League II standoff.
